well, that's my dream and my vision for south dakota. the next generation is watching us and we must do everything we can to strengthen our state so that it's a place where we can one day launch their careers and raise their families. i hope that you will all join me in that effort. over the past few weeks my team and i have talked with every agency and department and state government. we've heard about the challenges and the opportunities that are facing our state. this information transfer, though, is really the capstone of a two-year long job interview for being our state's chief executive, and over the last two years i was able to do a lot of listening with a lot of south dakotans. i heard story after story of south dakota families about the love they have for our state. they love our culture. they love our wide-open spaces, they love their towns and they love their churches. i do, too, but many families are struggling. they're struggling to get ahead. parents lie awake at night and they wonder if they're one medical emergency away f
