domonic, i want to bring you in now. notre dame is more than an iconic building. it's one of the most well-known historical sites in the world, really, and it's filled with priceless artifacts and works of art. how devastating could the loss of these relics be? >> there's the question of the relics but also the broader question, which is that this is both an architecturally and artistically such an important structure. even though we don't know for sure what pieces of art were being held there at the moment, which ones had been taken for example to the louvre, what we do know part of the iconic structure, the spire itself restored in the 1860s and this incredible roof known as the forest that has wood in it dating back to the original structure all the way to the 12th century, 200 to 300-year-old trees has been almost completely destroyed and will never be replaced. there's the other significant question that has to do with the value of what is lost there, the religious component, and items that are held in the cathedral that are of tremendous symbolism to christi
