abc 7 sports director larry beil has the highlights in this morning's sports. we will get to those updates in a few minutes, but lisa is standing by to let us know what to expect weather wise this weekend. good morning, lisa. >> good morning, kumasi. we are starting with low clouds and fog. in fact, temperatures are pretty comfortable there this morning. you can see from our east bay hills camera there that we certainly have a push of low clouds and fog that will allow for cooling all across the bay area. in fact, yesterday we saw several triple digit readings, over 100 degrees. today that all changes as we're looking at numbers coming down ito the 80s and 90s. so a big relief out there today, and you can see evidence of it right nowast bay hills camera. so we are looking at low clouds and fog locally, pushing across the bay, allowing for the cooling trend. here is a look from our roof camera. temperatures are in the upper 50s in san francisco. it is 60 in oakland as well as redwood city and san jose. 59 in gilroy. along the coast about four-mile visibility at

abc 7 news anchor kumasi is live. the video is really stunning. >> reporter: it is really stunning and that woman still shaken up about what happened. when we spoke with police here earlier today, they said they were able to arrest the man a block away from where that happened but earlier today, the woman told me that man told her that the woman inside, her security person was a robot and he was trying to get inside to kill her. she says this whole thing was really terrifying. it's supposed to feel good to get home after a long day but instead of relaxing, this woman ended up fighting for her life in the stunning video, you can see her trying to get through the front door of her building. when a pan man believed to be homeless grabs her pulling her away from the door onto the ground. >> the only thing going through my head was you have to save yourself. you have to save yourself. >> reporter: she struggles to get away able to crawl inside as the man grabs her legs. he tries again to get inside but they are able to clo

abc 7 news anchor eric thomas is live in brentwood with the latest. eric? >> reporter: specifically she was walking here to edna hill middle school. she had quite a distance left to cover. gps says the distance from where she was hit to here is just under two miles. let's show you the scene this morning. she was hit and thrown several feet by an suv. you see paramedics putting her on a backboard, on an ambulance, her injuries were so severe she had to be flown to uc davis medical center. what police do know at this point is there are no crosswalks there. it appears that the young girl was trying to cross and was hit by the suv driven by a female suspect who then left the scene. she was caught a little while later by officers there and booked into the county jail in martinez on charges of dui and felony hit-and-run. it has been a long day for police and a long day for school officials who have had to deal with the aftermath of this. >> the officers obviously administered first aid until paramedics could arrive. and then they subsequently stabilized her at th

abc's zachary kiesch joins us with the details. zachary. >> reporter: eva, good morning to you as well. florida continues to be a hot bed for these kind of unprovoked attacks. as you mentioned, two people were bitten within minutes at this same beach yesterday, unsettling news for swimmers as they try to dodge these warm temperatures. this morning, beachgoers in florida are on high alert after three shark attacks on the same day. the first incident happened saturday near miami where a fisherman was bitten and rushed to a trauma center. friends say the man was fishing on a 23-foot boat overnight off key biscayne. and just hours later, two other attacks by new smyrna beach known as the shark bite capital of the world. there have been four incidents at the beach in just a last week. saturday, one woman was bitten on the hand. another male was bitten on the foot. this summer has seen a rash shark sightings and attacks up and down the east coast. drone footage captured a shark swimming between two surfers at satellite beach in florida.
