consequence subsequently was approved by the city administrator naomi kelly with this breakdown. we're requesting the approval today of $2.6 million with these percentage breakdowns in these four core areas. all the funding would be granltzed out through competitive grant making through an r.f.p. process jointly administered by grants for arts and the arts commission. in these areas, just to highlight about what the recommendations have been from community engagement, including a two-day working group which meant in may of 2019, so a new grant category to support intergenerational learning, connecting young people with intergenerational learning, supporting the extension of current teaching artist residency grants to support traditional general residence. right now we're focused on creative writing but we would expand that work. creating a new grant to support creative pathways for youth up to age 24 and providing opportunities to bring constituents together to further conversation an innovation approaches to supporting youth in the arts. on affordable space and infrastructure, w

[applause] >> thank you for the love our city campaign. thank you to mohammed and the public works crews and teams. it has been 20 years since we have been doing this. i can't tell you how important it is that we love our city and keeping it clean. thank you to karen from the union square business improvement district for partnering with us. i go out once a month with my family to the community clean team. we hit different neighborhoods. i can't tell you how important it is because a, not only are we upping our -- loving our city and giving back to our city, but i'm bonding with my family. i am meeting different neighborhood associations, merchants associations, different public works crews, different downtown streets, everyone is coming out. it brings everyone together for common cause keeping our city clean, keeping it sustainable, and giving civic pride. this is why these events are very important. i also oversee the city's 311 call center. it is a 24-hour operation where we have f

naomi kelly, city administrator. thank you for having me today to talk about the office of emerging technology. as you heard, this process got kick started in earnest on aprif supervisors passed a resolution asking the city administrator's office to convene a working group to focus on san francisco's response and emerging technologies. the resolution enacted 12 principles for regulation emerging technologies. you can see these principles on the slide here. the creation of the open working group was instrumental in order to engage the many players in the space. as you heard president yi talk about the tech companies. and government agencies. the working group also informs recommendations on our regulatory and permitting processes. it provides a foundation of framework on how it could also become, how are permitting and regulations process could be nimble and also protecting our infrastructure in residence. also the working group resulted in final recommendations to myself, the board of supervisors and the mayor. the w
