amy klobuchar walked away from south carolina and got zero delegates there. how much is riding on tomorrow's contest and can she improve to really stay in the race? >> well, in short, a lot. let's do a quick review. in nevada she finished sixth. in south carolina, she finished sixth. pete buttigieg and tom steyer both finished above her in south carolina. they both have already dropped out. so the pressure is on for super tuesday, but the campaign says they are moving forward to super tuesday. a source who knows and understands what's happening inside the klobuchar campaign tells cnn that planning is moving forward to march 10th, that staff is still being hired. the klobuchar campaign is still moving forward. she was in utah. she's planning a rally in colorado and then will be in oklahoma. she will spend super tuesday in minneapolis, in st. paul, and it is that state, minnesota, that her campaign feels very good about. it is her home state. they are hoping to win the delegates there, a majority of the delegates there because she is an extremely popular senato

amy klobuchar, something happened there. pete buttigieg just went out and said something and probably they will say, if i win i will put you in the administration. >> what have we been talking about for several weeks, which is a democratic establishment freak out. about the rise of bernie sanders. certainly after iowa, new hampshire and nevada, bernie sanders looked very, very strong especially doing so well with the spanish voters and nevada. that freak out absently continued. the one thing i would say about this development, you cannot assume where those voters will go. those are distributed among the candidates, maybe one candidate more than the other. their absence in the race may make it easier for the others to get to that 15% threshold which is so important in the democratic primary because if they don't get to 15% they don't get any delegates. we might see more candidates getting delegates as a result of the pete buttigieg and amy klobuchar withdrawals. >> martha: it would appear that they made the calculation today

senator amy klobuchar is dropping out of the democratic presidential race. she said she will endorse former vice president joe biden. she is set to join biden at his rally tonight. senator klobuchar performed poorly in three of the four early voting states. the momentum from the third-place finish in new hampshire quickly vanished when she finished in sixth place in nevada and south carolina. health officials in the united states say there are 91 confirmed cases of coronavirus in 10 states. the centers for disease control and prevention says that includes 45 infections among people who were on the diamond princess cruise ship, which is one more than previously reported. 17 of the u.s. cases have been hospitalized and two peptide. some american troops in afghanistan will be coming home soon. defense secretary mark esper says he has given the top u.s. commander in afghanistan the go ahead to begin the initial withdrawal of u.s. military.
