julian glover is live in san jose with more on this story. good morning. >>> good morning. 11 confirmed cases here in santa clara county. those two latest cases confirmed at a press conference yesterday. but those public health officials they did not share more information about the ages of those latest infected people or where they could have come down with the virus. that's also under investigation. i want to walk you through what we do know so far about those 11 confirmed cases within the county. again, the two new cases still under investigation. origins unknown so far. two people were infected through community transmission, so they did not have contact with someone traveling to a foreign country. the three other cases came in close contact with an infected person, either being married with an infected person or living with them. >> we are recommending that people at higher risk avoid mass gatherings such as parades, sporting events and concerts where large numbers of people are within arm's length of one another. those high-risk groups

right there near 70 around palo alto and san jose. should give you the warmest temperatures, low 70s in the reach for tomorrow. likely trending to mid-70s next week. high temperature building back. it is something we have seen over and over again over the next five weeks. what's different is how it will retro grade farther to the west. the system here starts to approach us from the west coast. we have some rain there on saturday, mainly light rain. and then the most interesting part of the forecast sets up this time next weekend. we're thinking next sunday now should be dry. as long as it stays there, it could begin to scoop up some of the tropical moisture out of the south. most of it right now towards southern california. that's likely where we will find the heaviest rain setting up over the 7 to 10 day period based on how this projection looks. as we look at the forecast, notice how with that pattern, we're likely to find the bigger rain totals south of san jose. central and south california may get the biggest punch. but stay tune

let's show you where the heavy rain falls, you saw it falling from san jose. that is where the lighter rain is falling, the heaviest just south of san jose. heavy downpours along 880 and 101 with new cloud to ground lightning in northern santa clara county and far southern alameda county mainly just to the east of 880. so it is developing over the hilltops. east bay and drifting off the hilltops, we had some heavy downpours around livermore earlier this afternoon with a big accident on 580 shutting down four lanes which is now drifting to the north moderate rain around san ramon but otherwise the mix of clouds and sunshine over the bay area so it is all or nothing with heavy downpours developing kind of parking in place but they will fizzle out to the rest of the evening. futurecast shows activity dropping off the radar entirely around 10:00 this evening and then the rest of the night is largely calm just a chance for a couple of sprinkles with a little bit of drizzle on the coast tomorrow and through the day a similar set up with showers moving inland as othe
