maria: how much of -- maria. maria: how much of the money to the paycheck program is already committed. >> i'm going to say there's a big chunk of it because there's 900,000 loans sitting there, ready to be inputted. i think there's 1.6 to 1.7 million loans in the first tranche that were approved. so i think you're going to see within a week or 10 days probably a lot of that money, if not all of it, go out the door. a lot of it's sitting there. the loans are processed, ready to be sent to the sba for approval and then when they get approval back then they'll been disbursed. it should be a pretty quick process. within a week to 10 days that tranche will be exhausted. maria: so does that concern you? i mean, i recognize that the whole point is to make sure to get this money in the hands of workers but look at the demand and the fact that the money is going out the door pretty quickly. are we going to need another stimulus package fairly soon? >> that's a possibility. i think the parameters of the program are such t

maria: dr. besser, let me get yourry action on the cdc regarding the tests, scandalous story frankly. the cdc send out 50 states to 50 states, wait, don't use the tests, they are defective. one reason they are defective is they were actually studying the coronavirus at the cdc in the same laboratory that they were actually looking at the tests and dealing with the tests. that's one of the reasons i was told for some of these tests to be defected. how does that happen at the cdc, you're the former acting director? >> before i was acting director i ran emergency preparedness and response at the cdc and never involved in any response where there were things that we tried that didn't work and mistakes that happened and one of the things that's critical is that we are able to hear from the cdc every day so they can talk us through what they are seeing, what they are learning. right now there's a lot that's being learned from other countries about what happens when you reopen, what ways maybe the safe
