alexander hamilton had a torrid affair. and he wrote it down right there. >> highlights. ♪ >> "the charge against me is in connection with one james reynolds. for purposes of improper speculation, my real crime is an amorous connection with his wife for a considerable time with his knowing consent. damn." ♪ brian: with all of the success you had with alexander hamilton back in 2004, are you finding people that are learning a lot more about alexander hamilton and these founders now that this thing has become -- ron: every single time i am at the theater and i'm there fairly often. at least one person comes up to me and says, "you know, ron, i love the show and as i was watching the show, i was embarrassed to realize how little i know about the history of my own country. and i'm determined to change that." very nice that a lot of them are then going out and reading the book or reading other books about the founding heroes. so i said to lin at that awards ceremony that you showed before, i said to him afterwards, i said, "

s, does that' change your analysis from one million years zero when you are doing it for alexander hamilton? mike: couldn't afford to see the play, but i loved the book. it is so much easier to get exposure to gold. 20 or 30 basis points, you don't have to go to the equities. yes, it is much more easy to get into gold. we are seeing probably a flood of investors. ferro doesn't know the kruger end if it hit him over the head, but does that mean it is just as easy to get out of gold? mike: it is, but gold has a little more enduring boom market. free money, every central bank in the gold just -- world just printing money. there is no competition for gold right now. theyi can save the record, all got sold a long, long time ago and we don't have them anymore. i'm sure that is a story for a lot of people. tom: a question on gold, it is a very british thing. jon: that is my plan to do. in 2011, we saw this story play out. we are seeing a play out again. why is it different this time? mike: 2011, if you look at the crisis, gold rallied about three times. it is just a continuation, the way i see it.

. >> the next question from andrew was the musical hamilton and accurate representation of alexander hamilton? >> is phenomenal art but it's not history and that's okay because it has inspired so many people to learn more about the subject and read more. there are certain things that are absolutely correct. his marriage was true with, that efforts to preserve his memory and legacy were 100% correct. the dual come absolutely. but then there are things that are sort of build out for dramatic effect said there is no record that he had a sort of romantic flirtation with eliza sister and they had a robust correspondence but it didn't appear to be inappropriate similarly. he did support some abolitionists but it wasn't as much of the musical mismatch. she didn't appear to object to get all that much so yes and no to a certain extent. >> was there talk among the early cabinet amon cabinets amot be the next president? did jefferson make his intentions to run early? >> great question. everyone walsh wantewanted wash. they felt he was a unifying figure and the only person they could agree upon

., alexander hamilton, james madison, and they later pulled all these newspaper op-eds into a book. and these newspaper op-eds tried to persuade americans during the year in which the constitution as a proposal is pending before the country. these newspaper op-eds basically tried to persuade people to vote for the constitution. and later on, john marshall, among others, would say this is a very good statement of what the frame -- what the supporters of the constitution thought it was going to be all about, and it's a good resource because the people had access to it. it's not some secret document. ordinary people had access to this when they were being asked whether to vote yes or no on the document. the federalist 78, about 85 essays in all written by alexander hamilton, we now know, and it's actually a defense of what we talked about earlier, judicial review. it doesn't try to prove judicial review is in the constitution. a lot of people thought it was in it. not just the supreme court, any state court, lower federal court, to disregard a law, state law or even an act of congress
