joining me now is claudia mo, pro—democracy lawmaker and member of the hong kong legislative council. good to talk to you again. what impact do you think there's new law will have on hong kong's status as a global financial hub? when it comes to doing business, hong kong used to have two major advantages, over the rest of china. wine is free press, free speech, and the other is rule of law, or the sense of rule of law, but then the new laws will head to both areas with free press, they can now search newsrooms without a warrant and you will need to review your sources' information. if you don't comply, the maximum penalty is life imprisonment, and if they consider your case, you can be extradited to china. that is all very worrying, and all internet service providers will need to comply with any demand for information from beijing's national security agents, and hong kong police in that regard. you have to comply with that sort of demand or you will be in dire trouble as well, and rule of law. they are essentially telling hong kong cords that they have to do, have to enforce this law
