still with us, joyce chang of jp morgan. what would such a deal, as one we are talking about here, between china and the, mean for -- the eu, mean for investors? joyce: i think you are going to see portfolio inflows move into china. fixed income and equities is still low. i think one thing china is very conscious of, they want those portfolio flows. we have seen china going into the mainstream global fixed income indexes. we feel that is about $150 billion to $200 billion of flows. we think as we see tension between china and the u.s. and eu on issues such as labor, human rights and on the tech side, we still see china has kept opening its financial services to foreign investors. we think investors don't look at that yield differential, they look at growth differential in china. we have china growing 8.6% in 2021. that is something the chinese are focused on, they want to keep the capital markets aspect, something that is global in nature and still able to put a framework on the places that encourage foreign participation. g

morgan are set for a bumper bonus season. the bank is planning to boost annual compensation by 20% for sales and training staff up to 20% for sales and trading staff. but the rest of the company could see payouts fall. su keenan, what we know about jp morgan's compensation plans and how they compared to people's comps and -- expectations? >> we hear jp morgan is planning to boost annual bonuses for traders from 15-20% after trading generated a record $23.5 billion in revenue this year. bloomberg also learned payouts will vary widely from desk to desk, depending on performance. for instance we are hearing it could freeze raises for executives at the vice president level and above. also the bonuses could still change as the process is said to be in the early stage. what is important here is the traders who would get the 20% bump in bonus will likely be disappointed and that is because they were hoping for much, much more. as you know, the increases they were hoping would be more in-line with the 48% surge in revenue generated b

morgan, let me begin with you. the fda says it informed pfizer this morning it will rapidly work towards issuing that emergency use authorization. what who do we know about when we could see this vaccine officially approved? >> reporter: ayman, timing is the million dollar question. the fda basically telling the cdc to get ready to distribute that vaccine. timing is the issue because we are waiting any minute now to hear from the fda. they could tell us as early as today whether or not they're going to officially authorize the emergency use of that vaccine. as you mentioned earlier, that means the vaccine could ship in 24 hours. that first batch is 2.9 million doses that will come from those pfizer freezer farms in the midwest. the reality of it is, the general public may not see that until a little bit later. that's because we know priority will be given to the elderly, those in long-term care facilities. it will also be given to those front line health care workers. the question, ayman, is what about the next tie
