your reaction. >> well, i've got to tell you, lou, i was there in d.c., in washington, d.c. as early as 10 a.m. this morning. i was watching people pour in. for the most part, these are people from all across the country and all from the metro d.c. area who were there to support each other, speak their peace, support donald trump. many of them just went there because they wanted their voices to be heard. i was walking down the street, i mean, it was -- at first it was thousands, then it was tens of thousands, then it -- i looked across the landscape and over by the monument, and i said, my gosh, there must be at least 200,000 people here in the city. as people recognized me, they'd come up and they'd talk and they'd say, you know, we feel like we're not being listened to, we feel like our voices are silenced, we want someone to hear us. you know, it was very peaceful, and i think people felt very unified. as the afternoon went on and after the president spoke and people started to march towards the capitol, you know, there was an offshoot group. and i think this was expected

so the d.c. u.s. attorney's office quick as possible for the initial charges in these cases were misdemeanors for their trespass cases. however those cases were opened on the initial charges per there's also firearms charges. there are several felony charges that were open with assault and battery. felonious possession of weapons. this is only the beginning pizza after these are charges via criminal complaint that allows law enforcement across the united states to arrest people from dallas to arkansas to nashville, to cleveland to jacksonville. that's what's happened over the past several days. it's really quite incredible. now after those charges are filed then we have the ability to indict these individuals on these charges that is exactly what is happened but for example within days of this happen with the grand jury and the district of columbia up. it was booked throughout the entire day. several hour upon hour, prosecutors in her office prevents felony cases, significant felony cases related to c

we have d.c. national guard, we learned the entire d.c. national guard has been mobilized. they're in the middle of the crowd. you can see them with tall plastic riot shields. they are engaged in what is essentially a standoff with remnants of this protest, of this riot. i would say it is the more hardcore element because these are the ones defying law enforcement's orders to leave, defying the mayor's orders to go home. so there's still a significant contingent of them out here more than an hour after the curfew has gone into effect. i should also say the fbi is out here as well. it has been relatively peaceful since the curfew went into effect. there had been tear gas-fired, but we have not seen the kind of violent reaction from the law enforcement side we saw during the george floyd protests, during black lives matter protests, when we saw lots of tear gas-fired, lots of pepper spray, pepper balls. so it has been a much lighter hand put on the protesters here this afternoon. as you know, as night falls, things can often turn. remains to be seen if that will happen now. t
