high winds in downtown livermore, low humidities and we're talking about wildfires. we're talking about wildfires in the czu lightning complex. that's an area that was put out in mid to late september. in the words of cal fire, those fires have been regenerated by these high winds. cal fire posted these pictures, firefighters responding to at least ten vegetation fires across san mateo and santa cruz counties overnight. some within the lightning complex zone and santa cruz county, rekindled by these wind gusts. they've been having trouble accessing some of those fires because of downed trees. another problem. no structures are threatened. cal fire describes our humidity levels as being critically low. last night just outside livermore where we're at right now, an acre of mulch and debris caught fire. in milpitas, a fire quickly spread to two acres. both of those fires are contained. no structures burned, no one hurt. the wind knocked down a number of trees this morning, a couple of homes and across roads. this one on highway 9 just across highway 35 in the santa cruz

livermore highs in the 50s. these will eventually lead to some rain that should fall mostly after sunset tonight. the timing of our first storm coming in as we get into about 9:00 there in the north county, then after midnight to about 6:00 a.m. that's when most of the showers should move through. a few showers at times across the higher hill tops but overall that's not the main event in terms of the rain. that's going to bring a lot more moisture with that second storm that will make for a bigger impact and rain totals by early next week. the potential for parts of the area including the north bay that could see more than an inch of rain. that's one of the things the atmospheric river storms can do is pack a bigger punch in terms of rainfall and the first of those types of storms on monday. next week we will continue to see the storms come in that we hope will make up for the rainfall deficit. the bay area still 15% to 40% of average. what you see there in the seven-day forecast should help us make up some of t
