anthony fauci is the head of the cdc. so this is an example, i'm offering this as an example for why we need to think about how we're communicating health information. because we take it for granted, we're very close to the information. so i would love to see some attention in the report to -- focused on how we communicate in plain language. i mean, it's possible to be scientifically credible and also speak in plain language so that people understand what we're saying, because otherwise we're just leaving them behind. and the final thing i'll say before turning this back to you, susan, is that i think it's really critical for us to deploy vaccines into communities. and the reason this is important, because we talk a lot about equity now, and ensuring people have access. so even if we provide lyft vouchers, i think, you know, these interventions are incredible and we can reach many more people with a lot of these intentions, but we have a last mile problem now. and so to get those people who are still in the moveable middl

what is the cdc say about that? >> they stuck to kids over age two should wear a mask outdoors that makes no sense whatsoever. if you look at the studies, one in 12 infections company outward settings and daily cases were down a lot. you have a distorted perception of risk, we have lost sight of the fact that we have one-third the number of daily infections as we do during a mild flu season. so what point is it no longer a serious public health threat? i think we are pretty much there. more cases of tb then coronavirus right now. >> kristin: do you think the guidance announced today is going to help some folks, encourage them to get vaccinated? i'm pretty excited. i am fully vaccinated. i can walk outside the studio and not wear a mask when i'm walking to my car. do you think it's going to encourage some people to get vaccinated? >> i hope so. i think it should be a very simple message. get your vaccine and wait about a month until the immunity kicks in and live a normal life. we have to give people something to loo

the cdc also will clarify which outdoor activities are safer or less safer, depending on whether you have been vaccinated. the bottom line is clear. if you are vaccinated you can do more things more safely both outdoors as well as indoors. so for those who have not gotten their vaccination yet, especially if you are younger, or think you don't need it, this is another great reason to go get vaccinated now, now. yes, the vaccines are about saving your life, but also the lives of the people around you. but they are also about helping us to get back to closer in our living, more normal living, getting together with friends, going to the park for a picnic without needing to mask up. we're back to that place now as long as you get vaccinated. so go get the shot. it's never been easier. once you are fully vaccinated you can go without a mask when you are outside and away from big crowds. i want to thank the team at the cdc for everything they are doing to help us lead with science and bring our communities out of the crisis safely and responsibly. i also want to thank everybody who has got
