kron four's. rob fladeboe explains. >> there is strong evidence that new coronavirus infection, the highly contagious delta variant in particular has been increasing in workplaces across california in response health officers in 3 bay area counties so far. santa clara san francisco in contra, costa are strongly encouraging employers to consider requiring employees to get vaccinated to health officials said unvaccinated workers pose a substantial health risk in the workplace and that exposures have led to serious illnesses and deaths. bottom line, employers can play a crucial role in vaccination rates by requiring the vaccine as a condition of employment. >> now employers have an obligation to provide safe workplaces for their employees. and are also interested being working in a place that that is safe. it is not putting their their health at risk. so this is something that employers and workers should be able to agree on. >> this trend is not unique to san francisco, the bay area and california a
