melanie woodrow, abc 7 news. julian: this morning, we have gotten information about oakland mills college. a judge blocked a mergi mergi mi college. the order allows the judge to decide if college procedure should determine whether mills should survive on its own financial means. officials announced in march of the school was shutting down. a woman filed a lawsuit against the school in june, claiming they were blindsided by that decision. a well known community activist in san francisco is accused of sexual assault. john announced he is stepping down at the san francisco building commission following calls allegations surfaced on social media describing up incident of sexual assault in april. the case has been referred to the city attorney. john posted a statement saying he believes everybody needs to be heard, but he believes the relationship was consensual could alameda county sheriff's investigators of ruling out foul play in the death of philip krajicek, a berkeley runner who was found on tuesday all -- almos

julia mcfarland, abc news, london. kate: happening now, president biden and first lady jill biden are in delaware dover air force base attending the dignified transfer of the 13 american servicemembers killed in thursday's attack in afghanistan. this is video of them leaving for delaware earlier this morning. they met with the families of the service members before the transfer. officials say this is a solemn moment at a military ritual of receiving the remains of those killed in foreign combat. dozens of bay area families are asking the american government to rescue their loved ones from afghanistan. a reporter spoke to a residenttt who is afraid for her parents's safety after she says they were blacklisted by the taliban. >> in the last 10 years, the tables have turned. her parents helped her flee to the u.s. to go to college and be free. now, she is hoping she can do the same for them. time is ticking. on tuesday, u.s. military forces are set to leave afghanistan. do you believe that if your parents stay in afghanis

tonight, abc news confirming there were no u.s. flights out of kabul for up to seven hours today because the airbase in qatar was filled to capacity. >> they were saying that they don't have enough room over there. the woman and the kids, everyone has problem. they are sleeping on the street right now. >> reporter: late today, we've learned rescue flights have now resumed, diverted to other locations. u.s. officials say 5,700 people have been evacuated in the last 24 hours, including hundreds of americans. 13,000 in all since saturday.
