you mentioned bill clinton. and i think the democrats have learned they paid a price for not holding bill clinton more accountable for his behavior. they lined up behind him. but that democratic party is now not going to make the same mistake with andrew cuomo. and i think that's part of the story and it's why if he doesn't resign he's going to be impeached. and even if he does resign he may face criminal charges. and i certainly understand the contrast -- look, republicans who are piling on andrew cuomo having supported donald trump obviously have no shame whatsoever. >> none. >> but i do think that you do look at these two different part yilz, the parties the way they do it. i wish republicans, you know, after the "access hollywood" video would have come out, would have basically said we're done with this guy. and some of them did for about five freaking minutes. and yet look what they did. and so now they have no moral standing to talk about this. but a gree with mara. leave aside the what aboutism. andrew cu

the closest analogy, frankly, is bill clinton and paula jones. he was sued by paula jones for sexual misconduct when he was arkansas governor. then he became president of the united states, he claimed, listen, i should have immunity. that went all the way to the supreme court. the supreme court said you don't have immunity while you're president. so cuomo could have liability, personal, for money damages. it will come down to a similar question. should he be treat as governor acting in his official capacity when these incidents took place. >> because clearly, according to the report that was put out, there were a lot of enablers around the governor. >> yeah. this is what is interesting to hear about. he signed the legislation in 2019. he got on television saying how he supports women's rights and the ability to bring sexual harassment claims. what i think this story shows is that laws themselves are meaningless if they're not enforced. it brings it through an investigative process to the proper people. those were all side stepped in an apparent,

cuomo learned the lesson from bill clinton if you are shameless and unrepentant and refuse to resign. if you want proof, despite what bill clinton did in office he was invited to speak at the democratic national geneva convention last year. cuomo looks at that bill clinton can survive what he survived and still be welcome at the dnc why can't i? the other page taken from the clinton playbook is to victim shaming. he is accusing of harassing and retaliating against victims. he said that they are doing this for to score political points. this is the democratic state attorney general, almost all -- i would assume all the victims who worked for him are democrats who agree with him ideologically. there is no politics here. he is just not going to resign. it's up to the state legislative tour kick him out. >> shannon: we have seen examples how this works morgan the governor there the yearbook photo that was allegedly of him, one of two characters both very offensive on the basis of race, he dug in his heels. i had him on someone on my show saying naacp he has to go democrat after democrat.
