chris: yep. david: and in china, as i understand it, chicken is very popular, maybe more so than beef. is that unusual, where chicken is more popular than beef in a given market? chris: you know, china is largely a chicken market. i think this is one of those things that does vary depending on which part of the world you are in. brazil tends to be more of a beef market. the u.s. is about 50-50 between chicken and beef. you know, we do see trends evolving, but chicken globally is growing faster than beef. and certainly our expectation over the next five years is that chicken more so than beef will be the dominant protein in our restaurants. david: so there are four ways you can buy things in mcdonald's as i understand it. each begin with a d. let's go through that. one is a drive-thru. is that a big business these days? chris: drive-thru is a huge business in the u.s. it is about 70% of the business in the u.s. in europe, you would see the inverse. you would see dine-in is much bigger. but during

chris: i would agree. one of the things that we have as an advantage, because of the volumes we do in our restaurant, our volumes tend to be higher than anyone else out there. it allows us to buy equipment that is able to be titrated or calibrated more precisely than maybe some of our competitors. so what we are able to do because of the equipment we are able to buy, which is more expensive equipment, is we are able to deliver what coke would describe as their gold standard product on a more consistent basis than somebody who maybe has inferior equipment in the restaurant. david: i should disclose i am an investor in mcdonald's. my firm bought a piece of the china business with a chinese partner and with mcdonald's. in china, as i understand it, chicken is very popular, maybe more so than beef. is that unusual, where chicken is more popular than beef in a given market? chris: china is largely a chicken market. this is one of those things that does vary depending on where you are. brazil tends to be more of

elizabeth: robert, to kristin's point, chris cuomo, by the way chris cuomo testified as part of the investigation by the state ag about his role advising the governor how to respond. what kristin was saying the cnn anchor said on his show in march, you can't cover what is going on with his brother. then behind the scenes he is advising his brother secretly. he is helping to orchestrate the response and then governor cuomo attacks his accusers, attacks the investigators, tries to discredit and delegitimatize them. you know, so, this is stunning behavior that we're not sure that the general public understands the details and nuances of it when you see what happened. how shocking was it to you that this was allowed to to go on? >> it is not surprising to me and not shocking it would happen. to your point about the governor's strategy, we have to infer that strategy was in part formed by his brother who, you know, told his brother how to handle the media, how to go about this and to try to discredit these women and his brother knew about it. knew about the strategy, was okay with it. a major evening

chris chris and he joins us with mai capital on the equity markets -- chris chris anti--- chris gri -- chris grisanti joins us now with mai capital on equity markets. chris: if you have been an equity manager a long time, you have a little humility and know that the bond market is usually older and wiser than you are. but this time, i tend to disagree with it. it gets back to jonathan's point. we are getting conflicting signals. i feel at the bond market is saying what are you going to believe, me or your own eyes? because our eyes are seeing gdp growing at high single digits, and it matters because earnings are nominal. wages you and i think of as nominal. so earnings are strong across all our portfolio sectors. i just ink that the bond market here is wrong and that rates are going to be headed higher when the fed starts to taper. i get the conflict, but you have an $80 billion a month buyer is going to leave the market, and that is a big deal. jonathan: the number one question for the equity market, the rand -- demand is really strong. how expensive would it be to get supply through
