and checking with gianna for look at traffic, how are the roadways? >> they are not bad as you head into the ultima pass, but for supercomputers we've got brake lights starting from tracy, westbound to a five things are backing up, and we have a travel time of at least 31 minutes as you go from 205 over toward 680. the good news is if you are headed to the livermore valley portion coming out of the ultima pass headed toward the 680 interchange things look better and in fact here's a live look at the dublin interchange, headlights westbound toward 680 and we are seeing cars on the roadway but speeds are moving at the limit as you work your way through there. if you're headed along the shore freeway you are up earlier, taking 80 westbound 14 minutes from highway four to the maze and headed out of antioch for the shore, 25 minutes on that northbound 101 right out of san jose along the peninsula is still pretty quiet with no trouble as of yet, -- and traffic is moving nicely with no wind advisories or any -- and a quick live look at 880 the nimitz freeway

let's check in with gianna on the traffic alert. >> it's backing things up along 80. if you are going westbound or getting ready to take the east shore freeway that's for a crash and chp has issued a traffic alert. major injury reported in this crash. have you fire crews on scene and a big back up as you work through there. almost backed up to highway 4. use alternates in the meantime. san pablo may be an option. you want to get back on the freeway past where all the brake lights are. travel time at 34 minutes. highway 4 to the maze that. will affect your ride as you head toward the bay bridge. once are you past the crashes, the traffic conditions look better. that's once you are past the crash. westbound 580. >>> it's 6:02. smoke is blanketing the lake tahoe region. firefighters are working to prevent flames from causing more destruction. crews are working hard to make sure some families can return to their homes. in order to stop the fire they are doing something called back burning, starting new fires so when the caldor fire reaches back burned areas it won't sprea

i am len kiese. >> i am gianna franco. let's get to a first look at weather with mary. we are talking temperatures plus air quality. >> we have that strong sea breeze kicking in, good air quality as we start our day. we are in the green, great to see that. as we head through our day we are looking at good to moderate air quality. we have that air quality advisory, could see a little bit haze for the north bay and east bay. for the most part, looking all right for our air quality today and it gets better for your tuesday and wednesday with that strong on shore flow kicking in for us. below average daytime highs with that on shore flow, 70s and 80s inland, 78 san jose, 82 concord, 83 livermore. north bay, low to mid 70s. around the bay mid to upper 60s. peninsula, 70s later today and along the coast with that afternoon sea breeze, those clouds in the low 60s along the coast. we are going to heat things up by the end of the week. we are talking 90s to 100 inland. i will have more on that coming up. >>> we just got new information on this crash we are monitoring east bound

let's check in with gianna. do we have any hot spot s? >>> things are getting busier for that ride out of san jose. we are getting first reports of a trouble spot near allen rock. at least one lane is block blocked. just beyond that there. 12 miles an hour is what we are seeing for speeds as you head through there. once you are through that things look better. you can use 280 instead. if you are taking westbound 580. super commuters looks like that trouble spot at grant line may be over to the shoulder. speeds approaching 680 and the rest of the travel times on some of the main freeways. westbound 80. no delays on highway 4 and the brake lights due to that crash on allen rock. metering lights were just turned on a couple of minutes ago and we are starting to see the brake lights almost to that 880 overpass. 12 minutes is the travel time to go from the maze into san francisco. if are you taking 880 toward the bay bridge here is a like look near the coliseum. you can see traffic for the most part is moving nicely in both directions. you wil
