probably another day of low 90s inland for the tri-valley and down towards morgan hill, and trending cooler in terms of the temperatures. remember there was orange showing up on the map, and then you begin to see how the onshore winds are helping us out. when the winds are from the west, the fires to the north, those winds get pushed off to the east. and then as terry jt mentioned, the dixie fire, look at reno and lake tahoe, we will see stronger winds and you put the wind on the fires and that will mean the fire activity will also increase, it will increase the rate of spread with some of the fires, and closer to home, what will keep our attention is tuesday into wednesday, and the low dropping in east of the sierra. by tuesday into wednesday, north winds, specifically the north bay mountains two to five feet could see gusts, and we'll see if that prompts fire warnings. that would be tuesday afternoon into wednesday. we get a reprieve from the smoke, and the wind coming in off the ocean on monday, but the winds coming in out of the north again on tuesday and wednesday, it's likely w

take a look at this view from morgan hill. you can see all the way to the santa cruz mountains. clear visibility as of now and that's just an indication of what we are breathing in doesn't contain as much smoke. as we look at our near-surface smoke model, it still shows smoke lingering but clearing along the coast line and parts of the north bay. so it's nice to have a break from that. as we go into the day tomorrow it does look like the mainly clear air continues, moderate air quality. if you're sensitive to the smoke you may still need to limit your time outside. but all of the reds, the bright purples, that indicates some of the worst air quality we have in the country. moving right over lake tahoe and off towards the east as we've seen that smoke blowing away from us. but things will change as we go through the week. a slight shift in the wind direction brings it all back. >>> this morning the caldor fire in el dorado county is the top priority for cal fire. the fire has jumped highway 50 and is closing in on lake tahoe. fire officials worry changing winds and bone-dry veget
