it happened on eastbound 80 at el portal driving around 4 50 this morning. the chp says the crash involved three vehicles. it started when one of the vehicles overturned. and then caused a chain reaction crash. three people went to the hospital with major injuries. one of the passengers died at the hospital from cardiac arrest. according to the authorities. this crash is still under investigation. new york city is planning to make changes following hurricane ida. the city's planning to hire a private weather forecaster. the city also plans to install more drainage features and plans to issue earlier and more aggressive warnings to residents. at least 50 people from virginia to connecticut, including 13 in new york city. died earlier this month when heavy rain from the hurricane ida fell in the northeast. a strong earthquake rocked the greek island of crete this morning. at least one person was killed and several others injured. the preliminary magnitude was a 5.8 homes and other buildings were damaged. the shaking also caused some rock slides at the crisis o
