okay in east bay valleys as well. and one of things you can do is you can check the model and the reason i'm not super concerned about this is well, it always concerned i shouldn't say that. but i just don't want you to freak out too much, because when you look at where the model takes us see those oranges and by fairfield, this is the main event that contra those orange contours in calistoga. by clear lake and you see how quickly it dies out. so the sweet spot on this thing looks like it's about 345 and six in the morning, and it may be beyond that into seven or eight in the morning, but you see where it's. it's located, right? so that is going to be windy up there. they're going to see 30 40 mile an hour winds. but look at the rest of us in oakland and conquered and liver more right. it's not quite as robust in terms of the contours, so the other thing we can do is we can check the check the current wind speeds and this has this has been proven out. okay so santa lina, the winds are north and they have ramped up the

inland east bay. looking halt temperatures in the low 80's by the weekend and for the north bethea chance to see a four showers on saturday. let's check in with gianna for a look at traffic. any hot spots in. >> yeah. it's a busy morning. we have a couple things to look out for. if you are taking bart, bart trains aren't stopping in pleasant hill this is due to a pg&e power outage in the area. plan for that. train number 521 delayed about 32 minutes between richmond and berkeley this was due to earlier issues, earlier bridge issues. we have a couple of hot spots. check the schedule before you head out the door. other things to be lee out for. a crash southbound 101 near river road in the north bay. doesn't look like its causing too many brake lights but watching it just in case they close a lane. if you are going on 101 you still should be okay. not the case at the bainbridge. it's backing up as you work past that overpass. things getting slow and go there as you work across the upper deck as well ove

>> we will get wilson walker in east bay in a moment, we want to give you the details of what we expect is we head through tonight, the lightning threat is the main concern with the potential for thunderstorms to develop and roll through the north bay and east bay, where the greatest concern is between now and 11:00 tomorrow morning when the red flag warning expires. the greatest threat should move off to the east by 7:00, 8:00 in the morning, a 50% storm chance, that's a higher risk than we were talking about 24 hours ago, if those thunderstorms develop any cloud to ground lightning will not be balanced out by precipitation out of the storms. they won't be completely dry but not enough rain to put out any fires that could start plus the storms could produce gusty winds that would fan the flames. this is not an unusual set up for september and october, we have this heat dome to the east, with an approaching storm system that's funneling this moisture towards the bay area and that's the source for these thunderstorms that are going to develop primarily late this evening and overnight. ta
