this is the best parish in the state. we have now visited the vast majority, but not all of the parishes that have been so devastated by hurricane ida. i will tell you, it does not get any easier, seeing the devastation the storm has brought. whether you are in grand isle or you come up this way. today, we found out that they were, at least before i left baton rouge early this morning, nine deaths in the northeast caused by ida. as it turns out, the current confirmed death toll in louisiana from hurricane ida is also nine. i will get into that in just a moment. today, we were able to meet with local officials in st. bernard , plaquamines, and tag pahoa parish. i want to thank president miller and their entire team for their hard work, all of the first responders, all the nonprofit organizations, the faith-based community, you name it. this is a team effort. i want to thank our team members at the state level as well. i think we are the best in the business, and that's because we get too much business in disaster response.
