many of you know that here in san francisco. 83% of san franciscans have been vaccinated. but you know who's leading the way? our kids. so that is absolutely remarkable and i'm really proud of all of our kids who are stepping up and doing their part because what we want to do is, of course, get our institutions of higher learning as well as the school district and many of our schools that are open, we want them to stay open and we want the teachers, we want the administrators, we want the janitors and all of the folks who work in the schools and our kids to be safe and so far so good right, dr. matthews. now, we are on the west side of town of san francisco, state university and i can tell everyone we're on the west side because usually we have all the clouds in the air. but that's how we like it in san francisco. san franciscans love the fog. we love the clouds. we love the comforts of being apart of a community that really is an extraordinary community. a number of students here are happy to return to campus and so many kids are happy to go back to school. i'm sure many

we want visitors to enjoy san francisco. we want conventions to come back to san francisco. we want this city to thrive and when businesses are open and people are coming back downtown to work, events are happening our yerba buena center for the arts, that is really part of our economic engine. it's how we generate revenue, but more importantly, bringing people together is something that i love to see happen in our city. now, part of what we've been experiencing as well is what i feel the wrong messaging about what our city is. we're the people who as san franciscans know how to communicate what's happening here. we still have challenges with homelessness. we still sadly have challenges with homelessness and crime. what we have to do is make some adjustments to ensure people who are here get the help and support that they need, but making sure those living here and working here also feel safe. we can do both and that's why this new program having ambassadors who welcome people to san francisco, who make people feel like we want them here, who make people who live here feel s

and here in san francisco the san francisco public utilities commission have a grant program. a grant program where we've already provided over $2 million to various companies to change their businesses so that it doesn't impact their business directly so they can accommodate technology like this to make adjustments and anchor received a $1 million grant to make such changes. we're grateful to be here today because when you think bit, what they're doing in just this location alone is anticipated to save over $20 million gallons of water. that's the equivalent of over 1300 residents in san francisco and san franciscans used 32 gallons of water a day which is one of the lowest anywhere and we believe in conservation and try to do our best but we also understand there's a need to change infrastructure and businesses and how we support companies in san francisco to be innovative and creative in new developments that will help us to do exactly what we're doing here today. i'm grateful to be here and i know it's not after hours but i would hope that after we're done with this press

a beautiful look at downtown san francisco from treasure island. temperatures are backing down into the 50s. san jose is right behind at 58 degrees. tomorrow looks like a nice dog walking day. we have fiona bringing you tomorrow's dog walking forecast. she 16 years old, blind and deaf, and still goes for 2 walks per day. be like fiona. but niche, mid to upper 60s. noticeable went throughout the day, but not all that strong during the afternoon. temperatures will start off chile tomorrow morning. upper 30s and the north bay families, but we will recover from that chilly start with temperatures around 60 degrees by noon, then into the low to mid 60s for high temperatures tomorrow afternoon. these numbers are 2 to 4 degrees above average for late november. as we look ahead to the thanksgiving weekend, we warm- up another few degrees in the end. back to that rainy outlook for early december, probably an overstatement to call it rainy, but a better outlook. it takes us right through the first 7 days of december here, and they show a good chance of above

i felt safe in san francisco. i recommend you visit san francisco because they have this incredible exhibit at the museum, the dejeoung. this is our city and now it's our time to take care of it to do everything we can in our respective positions to improve upon it. to make sure we're putting our all to it. not just for our economic future, but for the prosperity of each and every one of us. i want to thank so many people who are joining us today including rodney fong and helping bring businesses together. kevin carol from the hotel council, thank you so much and i want to see those hotels packed with people who are coming to the city. i'm fighting to get all these conventions and other activities and things here, but we know there's so much more work to do. i want to thank our deputy chief and david lizard. so many people working collaboratively together in order to ensure that this city is open for business, it's thriving and we're taking good care of one another like we did throughout this pandemic. thank you a
