the white house plans to go on offense. they are going to attack the republicans according to the report after the bad job's report saying the gop is blocking democrats spending they say will help the economy and middle-class workers, what do you say to that? congressman: it's really clear that this is a disastrous job's report, shows less than half of less than jobs created that the estimate forecast and there's a direct linkage between the policies that have been in place by this administration and by this congress and the disastrous job report that we just saw. the things that are driving this -- this anemic job's growth is twofold, inflation pressures and second of all, the pressures on our supply chain and there's no way that you can deny economically that there's a linkage there. so unfortunately i think that the administration is going to do whatever they can to try and deny responsibility. but i think the only way that we are going to get out of this economic morass that we are in to turn to the succeeding policies

we arrived a this the place where we have war of words between the white house, the white house staff, as well as senator joe manchin. now, just today, joe manchin said that the white house staff did some, quote, inexcusable things that drove him to reject the build back better act. and i don't know exactly know the details of exactly what they did, but you can juxtapose that with what the white house put out, which is really saying that joe manchin betrayed the senate, as well as congresspeople in the house. the white house's statement was as lengthy as it was biting. i talked to some white house officials this morning who said they were taken aback by the tone and tenor of that statement. and you don't usually see the white house put out a statement that says, essentially, joe manchin is changing his mind and doing it on fox news and we're not quite sure what was going on. that was essentially the gist of that statement. the president walked out on the lawn. we were shouting all sorts of questions to him. one of the key questions, is the build back better act dead? how you going to

the white house lashed out at manchin. manchin lashed out at the white house. where do things stand now between the two sides in terms of whether they can they can work together going forward on maybe putting build back better back together? >> based on my conversations with white house officials, build back better, they believe can still be negotiated. they believe that the president and senator joe manchin, that they have a relationship that allows them to continue talking and possibly get this law, this act rather, signed into law. but we also have to remember that today, joe biden was, president biden was specifically questioned on whether or not he felt like joe manchin had reached a commitment to him and he wouldn't answer that question, but let's remember that the president signed off on the white house statement that said very clearly that they believe manchin was going back on his word, that he had reached a commitment to the president and to senate colleagues and to the house. so this is really the president i think having to navigate the fact that hi
