not a whole lot in the bay area. notice it's just off to the east of us, but we have light rain in ukiah that will be working its way into the north bay and we expect parts of the north bay to see that rain around 7:00 to 8:00 and then starting to make it into parts of the east bay by the main morning commute. but we're looking at much cooler temperatures and then once the rain clears, by late morning into the afternoon, it's all sunny the rest of the day. we only make it up to 59 in los gatos and concord today reaching 60 degrees. we'll see a high of 59 in novato and san francisco in the upper 50s. tonight frosty conditions and chilly and windy tomorrow as we stay in the 50s for a lot of spots from the inner bay to the coastline and some low 60s for the south carolina and parts of the north bay. and really not much warmer on wednesday, either. only reaching 62 in san jose. as we go hour-by-hour, we're expecting the rain to start to make its way across much of the bay area by about 8:00 to 9:00, and then going into 1

the east bay. we were getting somewhat significant downpour here about 10, 15 minutes ago. as vianey was alluding to, it will be like this throughout the morning where you will have this on and off. thunderstorms are possible tonight and we're expected to have more spotty rain tomorrow morning. national weather service predicting after it's all said and done, we could see an extra quarter inch to an inch of rain having fallen within the past 24, 48 hours. the national weather service issued a winter storm warning for the northern sierra nevada until 11:00 tomorrow morning. this is video last night of i-80 in kingvale. no chain controls there, that's expected to change. that area could see more than two feet of snow. the storm is good news for palisades tahoe which is extending the ski season until may 15th, but after may 1st the resort will only be open friday through sunday. so this is a good idea of what roads look like. watch out for speeds and the distance between the driver in front of you and
