so this process included the analysis within the departments where we asked each of the departments to share what they are doing to combat a violence prevention strategy. programs do not all speak to each other, they're not all aligned, and i also think there's not great collaboration within our law enforcement, so that's one thing we realize. we also did interviews. d'anthony jones and rico hamilton did surveys out in community, engage with folks. we did additional on-line, try to collect additional information, and then, we worked with folks who would come forward -- supervisor mar, you referred some people to us, and then, we also just heard from individuals who highlighted their struggles and ways to get response, and then, we had a violence prevention summit at the end of last year with over 100 participants and have tried to sit back and tried to figure out what would be the next week. next slide. the folks who want to be heard want us to understand the overlapping parts of violence. i think we are -- i personally am concerned about some of that rising, you know, the last few wee
