he started the club here, california rowing club, and now it's sort of grown to where we have legitimate national team athletes. we have olympians here and they train here, they work here, they've made a home for themselves here, and we couldn't be happier. >> rowers and olympians, you have to think in like four-year quadrennials because it's not an olympics every single year. so that's the goal, is the 2024, winning gold there. so i'm going to do everything that i can and i have a great setup with california rowing club here. skip and mike, like, you know, they believe in me. i believe in them. they're going to get me to where i need to be. >> i joined this boathouse and this team in the summer of 2019. give me a place to train and then grow. and then since the olympics, it's been fantastic being here with the group. i was in the tokyo 2020, 2021 olympics and i was in the men's eight and we finished fourth. >> i think as a coach, this is sort of a group you dream about. they're all super bright, they're highly motivated, and they have a social conscience. so they're all really good peop
