camilla. >> yes, i'm darya james. more people have been canceling their netflix subscriptions and this has forced the company to make some changes to its peril. those 150 employees that you guys were talking are being laid off. and this is just after the company reported a drop in subscriptions in just the 1st quarter. now, according to netflix, those 150 employees being laid off account for 0, 2%, of the year of their entire workforce. so a spokesperson for the company says that the cuts are not because of how the employees are performing and said they say that the changes are because of the company's revenue slowing down. netflix lost 200,000 customers in the first 3 months of this year. and that's the first time it's happened in more than a decade. the streaming service also predicts to lose 2 million more subscribers later this year. netflix chief operating officer says that for the next 2 years, they are cutting back on some of its spending. but netflix does plan to spend 17 billion dollars on producing shows and
