jason: i think they are. matt and i are talking about specific skills teachers have been teaching them throughout the past year, and these are skills articulated in the curriculum framework for the ap u.s. history exam. some of these skills being contextualization or comparison or audience or point of view. matt, would you like to jump in here about keywords we are introducing or reminding students about? matthew: any student was taken ap u.s. history will be familiar with what we are talking about. one of the things jason i are trying to do is modeled the ability to analyze documents and think historically, because students will have to do that on the fly. that is one of the things that makes it so challenging. document show up on various parts of the exam, and depending on where they are situated in the exam and what the question is will influence which types of historical thinking students need to do, but there are a couple of types of historical thinking, to reset historically by using causation, consider

gerry: jason really quickly got to move on. doing to ask you, what are the things that strikes about this is the attempt to delegitimize legitimate political debate. this idea talking about immigration for example in suggesting there's demographic change in the country caused by immigration cap political consequences that is somehow delegitimized and characterized as a great replace of the white replacement theory. so we cannot have a conversation a reasonable conversation with things like immigration without being labeled as to terrorist extremists and white supremacist breach briefly, if you would jason. yes, you are right. you are not just wrong you're evil if you want secure borders or lower taxes and so forth. this is also very disturbing here is this attempt to state that white supremacy is the greatest scored in black america these days. and m buffalo there is a black mayor, gerry. he is in his fifth term. white supremacy is not the biggest problem for black buffalo means this is an attempt to push that type of thinking.

jason: i think that is a possibility. i look at households that have $2.3 trillion still saved up from the transfers over the last two years. i look at businesses still facing pretty good financing if they want to make more investments. i look at a global environment where the dollar strength is worrying me and the downdraft we are getting in net exports, so i am looking at those factors. overall i think we are going to see a lot of jobs this year. lisa: there are some people who believe the more we see in momentum and the lack of recession now, the worse it will be later. i point to people levering up on the consumer side once again. do you think that is possible? jason: the fed thinks inflation is coming down to 2.5 percent. if that happens, there is a 25% chance of happens, it would be wonderful if we could avoid all of these things. inflation stuck roughly at 4% or 5%, i don't know what sort of pain you would need if you want to bring it back down. tom: long ago and far away, a columbia professor saw a kid at harvard

jason: i think absolutely. a lot of where thomas is getting his information is through sound analysis, based on information we are putting out there. we said the same thing that we think we're going to be in the fourth quarter, assuming obviously there is a wildcard around legalization trends. we are assuming a normal legalization trends will remain consistent with what we've been seeing for it with the quick get profitably in fourth quarter next year. taylor: talk to me about that, because we have had you on the program a lot pretty talked about the regulatory environment, talked a lot about the general state-by-state legalization environment. how is that environment for you right now? does the path indicate future success? jason: absolutely. we have seen a ton of momentum the past few years. this year, we launched new york, louisiana, ontario will be very soon. we also have three states going against two states and puerto rico. so isla, maryland, puerto rico are in the process. they have legalized the process

jason: u.k. is the other country in the world that has inflation almost as high as the united states. not quite, but almost as high as the united states. they are probably saying what we are going to be saying six month for now. again, staying with the curve means deliberately starting a recession. want to be behind the curve, learning a little bit about what is needed. again, the fed's moves right now are in historic terms early aggressive. in terms of the level they are still very dovish, and i would stick with that strategy, but be prepared to escalate. alix: to be able to do a little compare and contrast, if we look at the boe and ecb, a big part of the conversation has been the stronger dollar. what enables the dollar to cap? what is going to support the other currency markets? i'm wondering the role of the dollar in your inflation and potentially recession scenario. jason: look, inflation in the united states is running at three percentage points faster than it is in the euro area there is

jason snipe, is it time to be more as jenny says enthusiastic? >> so i think we can be. when i look at the fed minutes from this week and the theme that resonates with me is peak inflation and peak fed i think what the street has taken from the commentary is that the fed is going to be data dependent. they're going to move in june, definitely move in july. then we'll look and see what's going on to jenny's point, the street did a lot of work, market did a lot of the work. look at the multiple at 16 times s&p from 21, that's a lot of work you look at the bond market, what it has already done i think this is an opportunity to leg into some names that have been beaten down obviously the market is down nice to be on with green on the screen i think there will be opportunities with companies with free cash flow and obviously pricing power in the market i think are names to look at >> i mean, it is amazing, doc, how the mood changes when there's green on the screen for a handful of days. everybody all of a sudden sounds a little more positive on things even though i'm not sure
