i am katie fang. let's begin today show with this reality. 60% of americans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. this is according to a research poll taken in march. so, if the supreme court overturned roe v. wade they would be subverting the will of the american people. we have seen this before, right? republicans or gop appointed judges are pushing through wide ranging policies that the majority of americans do not agree with. let's talk about mass. a poll conducted last month shows that 56% of americans favor requiring masks on planes, trains, and public transportation. 20% were opposed to the policy. this minority, this is the group that got their way when they trump appointed judge overturned the nationwide mask mandate. how about lgbtq issues? in a national poll of april of last year, 67% opposed a state law that would prohibit transgender athletes from joining sports teams that match their gender identity. 13 states, led by republican legislators, have passed these bands.

katie: welcome back to you. the level i was watching was 4200. 4000 to meet is basically a foregone inclusion at this point. the 4200 level was on three different technical factors, one being a fibonacci retracement level, and those are very common ways to discern importance on the charts. with this report we received, the s&p 500 support level based on the same fibonacci retracement is roughly 3815. we use support levels as a gauge of downside risk. they are not really predictive, but they do show an area of potential buying pressure in a chart, so we believe that with the breakdown, it does increase risk perhaps to that 3815, but along the way we will always be looking for signs of downside exhaustion that are more than just short-term in nature. guy: michael hartnett bank of america says the average for most people since the start of 2021 is 4274. you get below 4000 and a trap door opens. i hear what you are saying about the fact that the key level has already broken, but how significant is 4002 a lot of peop

katie and i both demanded to know how real is that? >> we are hearing about cases of people who have taken it a course of paxlovid, feel better immediately, which it seems katie certainly did the next day, finish their five-day course, feel fine, test negative, and then several days or a week later, begin feeling crummy again and begin testing positive again. if they are testing positive rapid, they are infectious again. we know of a case where someone had that and did infect other people during the rebound. the 10% to 15%, i'm not sure where that comes from because i don't think you know exactly what the probability is. i don't think it will be that high. i think it is being amplified by twitter and other places because it is newsworthy. when they tested paxlovid in clinical trials, it was about 2%. i'm guessing it is a little higher than that, it might be 5%. i don't think it is has highest 10%. it seems like the rebounds are milder cases. we do not know for sure what to do about them, if you should take another course up paxlovid. t

i'm katy tur. voters are casting ballots in arkansas, minnesota and georgia, hence the music you hear. which is where we begin today, in georgia. which flipped blue in 2020. it is a big test down there of two political ties. number one, donald trump's ability to play king-maker within the republican party and, two, whether republican voters believe donald trump's big lie that he won the election in 2020. incumbent governor brian kemp refused to overturn the will of georgia voters. for that, donald trump is trying to exact revenge, endorsing david perdue. as of now, kemp is leading perdue by a wide margin in the polls, perhaps suggesting there are limits to both trump's influence and his lives. and there could be a matter of elect-ability, case in point, brad raffensperger, the secretary of state who infamously quote tried to find the votes trump needed to win, she facing a tough re-election race with strong competition. >> on top of it all, record-breaking turnout that will give both parties a good

katie: this is a good question. different commodities react differently to different environments, so let's take last year or during covid, we saw very different moves in energies then we saw in the precious metals. certain commodities are more linked to inflation and are affected by different supply demand cycles. so you should think a little bit about what you are buying, what it is linked to, what type of cycles are going on the market, and which ones might be favorable given the current macro conditions. i'm also a fan of thinking about long and short. the reason is this is that over the long-term, statistically, long and short indices and strategies and commodities have done better than long only but i still suggest you can have long only exposure during cycles which might help off at -- offset some of these difficult moves in equities and bonds. lisa: that is why wanted to go, that we are talking about the move in commodities and betting potential commodity producers and the like at a time were nothing else is
