one important thing to remember that the roe v. wade case was based on the -- due process. that's the implied privacy right. there's a lot of other opinions. but if it is gone, it is not the only basis for attacking statutes that restrict abortion rights. and so the federal government, i think, would have standing in many states where it has an obligation to perform abortion services. states where there are immigration detainees -- or inmates and states where members of the military are assigned to serve. i think the federal government could file lawsuits under constitutional provisions, for example the 14th amendment equal protection clause. this was the section that justice ruth bader ginsburg always believed should have been the basis for abortion rights. there is also, under the first amendment, the right to be free from the establishment of religion. to the expect that extent that abortion restrictions are based on the christian view that life begins at conception, it violates people of jewish faith, who say that life begins at birth, or the muslim faith, who say that
