, fires and smoke over the eastern part of the city this afternoon, the vallejo fire department said the three alarm fires started in dry grass not far from six flags discovery kingdom in the solano county fairgrounds. no injuries were reported, and the cause of that fire has not yet been released. grassfire ended up burning more than 130 acres. in the ultimate hills right near livermore. today that fire was first reported around 1 30 this afternoon when hay bales along 5 80 caught fire and then spread to the grassy hills east of the north flynn road exit, cal fire says it appears that fire was started by a vehicle or some sort of machinery. no injuries were reported, and no structures wherever threaten. and a warming trend this week will ratchet up the fire. danger just a little bit, not a high fire danger red flag warning, but it is coming into late spring early summer and you know how that is. it's going to be fire season. in no time and actually actually technically is 81 degrees today in santa rosa 84 in fairfield. we've got temperatures today that we're cooler than yesterday .

police in vallejo now investigating what appears to be a homicide. now we have new video from the scene this morning across 4. sarah stinson has a look in the newsroom. sarah. >> that's right. witnesses on scene tell us they saw investigators surrounding a person dead in front of a home in vallejo. take a look at where this happened on the 3400 block of hazelwood street right down the street from any penny cook elementary school. this happened in a neighborhood there. video shows crime scene tape blocking off hazelwood street and yellow evidence markers scattered on that street along the card can see it right there. also, there's evidence markers scattered on the sidewalk as well. this happened sometime before midnight and vallejo pd has remained on scene investigating the photographer that we have there on scene tells us on at the scene he saw several distraught family members season is a very emotional scene. police have not given us any information. so we have not confirmed if someone was killed or what exactly happened here in this neighborhood.
