the biden administration is not ruling out more student loan debt forgiveness. the president does want to cancel about $10,000 in students debt but means test the program so people who make under $150,000 can cash in on the benefits. but the "wall street journal" editorial board blasted the program saying it's a subsidy for the upper middle class. the means test would be almost useless since 97% of borrowers would be eligible. they said it would still cost $230 billion, worsen inflation and increase the cost of higher education. not very good news for people eventually wanting to go to college. david: the whroon forgiveness is nothing compared to wiping out student loan debt for millions. bloomberg says it could cost taxpayers $380 billion. and it would flow to those in the top half of the income scale. it was called yet another taxpayer subsidy for the upper middle class.
