good morning, dave. well, at least it's a ray of hope for those parents and students and families at parker elementary that it's called the community's not closures resolution in the parents at parker and the families there brought that resolution to the oakland school board, and tonight the board has agreed to vote on it. it's on the agenda for tonight. now, whether or not the board will approve, it remains to be seen. the oakland unified school board members already voted this year to close nearly a dozen public schools over the next several years because of low enrollment. and budget constraints. parker elementary was one of the schools that closed. but last month a group of parents and community activists staged a sit in at that school to protest the closure. and they opened the building up to kids and students who needed a place to go. that sitting is still going on. the group wants the district to use a grant that had been set aside for schools facing closure to keep parker open community day schoo
