i'm pam moore and i'm ken wayne. the results are in and now the fallout begins. san francisco district attorney chesa boudin was recalled yesterday. >> and many are now turning to mayor london breed to see who she will appoint to replace him until there's an election in november. so here is the likely timeline on june 23rd, the director of elections will certify the results. then on june 28th at their board meeting, the supervisors will also declare those certified results that starts the clock. 10 days later brings the process to july 8th. and on that day, the district attorney's position officially becomes vacant, allowing mayor london breed's appointee to take office. part of what i'm doing and going through this process is trying to give all the people who have expressed interest an opportunity to talk about. >> the possibility of this role because i think it's important to be open minded about, you know, people who may express interest. >> kron 4 political analyst michael yaki says those are some of the things the mayor will have to consider. among those bei

i'm ken wayne and i'm pam moore. 24 hours from now, the polls will close in california second statewide election in less than a year. voter registration is near historic highs. but voter turnout is on track to possibly reach a historic low. just 13% of ballots have been turned in. that's according to the latest ballot tracker firm, political data intelligence, senior citizens, whites and democrats make up the majority of participants so far. secretary of state shirley weber announced 81.5% of eligible california voters were registered by late may. that's the highest percentage in almost 70 years. but short of a significant boost in ballots cast tomorrow. this primary could break the record for lowest turnout for an election in state history. that record is currently held by the state's 2014 primary that had 25% turn out. >> if you still have not yet voted, you have plenty of options heading into tomorrow, including in-person polling locations, which will be open all day. kron four's grant lotus is here with us now with more on what you need to do to make sure your vote is counted, your

i'm pam moore. evacuation orders are still in effect at this force. dan thorn is live in napa right now with the latest. dan, what are you learning? >> well, pam and ken kal fighter and caught cal fire is telling us tonight that this virus shoot through more than 370 acres since it first broke out this afternoon. >> they are still at 5% containment and it's been that way for the past few hours. as you mentioned, they are calling this the old fire right now. so to canyon road has been evacuated. and that's where we're standing right now. this is a century where the command center has been set up much of that fire activity. as you can see here has been going on just below atlas, peak the evacuation orders have affected this area and also the area along old soda springs road. it's unclear how many homes are affected, but the people who live in this area have been told to leave. as for the firefight, crews have been attacking it from the ground and the air helicopters making water drops in tankers have been dropping fire retardant. a cal fire spokesman sa

i'm pam moore. the fire broke out about 2.30, this afternoon in the area of edgewood road and crestview drive. that's west of redwood city near interstate 2.80. >> cal fire says it has burned about 25 acres at last check. there are some evacuation orders and warnings in the emerald hills area. want to show you an evacuation map. the people who live in the red area you're about to see which is north of canada, college and and road hills. golf are told they have to evacuate that area. that is a mandatory evacuation that people who live in the blue area just south of that. it's a recommendation to evacuate. all of this, of course, is hilly country with a lot of homes just east of interstate 2.80, mateo county is now offering residents an evacuation center. it is located at 14. 55 madison street in redwood city. and if you have large animals, the county is asking that you bring them to a staging area located at the canada college parking lot. number 6, we are bringing you team coverage tonight. kron fou
