in fact, tracking triple digit heat for most of you in solano county. let's take a look at current conditions out there right now in vacaville. >> 98 degrees. that's why you're under a heat advisory. relative humidity, extremely dry. 16% relative moisture wind speeds out of the west at 9 miles per hour. but when that fire sparked, it was certainly in the double digits. fortunately in the teens. but >> those hot dry temperatures fuel for high fire danger. but we do have a heat advisory in effect from now through 10 o'clock tonight for solano county, because we're still going to see very warm conditions even through the early evening hours. temperatures out there right now. quite the spread. 58 degrees for half moon bay. and as we just saw fairfield, 98 degrees. so 40 degree difference out there right now. but they say that cool sea breeze, mother nature giving us a little bit of a break. thanks to her natural, a seat we are seeing double-digit cooling even extending into conquered and livermore. but 29 degrees cooler. for those of you at half. moon bay.

for those of you in solano county. so that's why they're still under a heat advisory from now through 10 o'clock tonight. but now we're going to switch gears and take a look at our monsoonal moisture. forecasters believe it or not, we do have some very active weather to our south, drier for us in the bay area. but for the southern portions of monterey county, specifically in king city and soledad, they have seen reports of cloud to ground lightning strike said for us here in the bay area. we're not out of the woods. we do have a slight chance of possible pop-up thunderstorms that could produce dry, lightning and gusty winds by later tonight between 6 to 8 o'clock this evening. so right about now, through 8 o'clock tonight that some are going to notice very unstable atmosphere and it's mainly going to impact those of you in solano county, dot solano county, excuse me, santa clara county contra county. and so and even for those of you in alameda county as well, drier for the coastal areas of the bay area. thanks to karl

and that's exactly what we're seeing right now in solano county. ca hot temperatures certainly not helping flirting with triple digit heat right now at 98 degrees. let's take a look at the relative humidity because this is just a good indicator of how dry it is right now. 16% relative humidity. so a little to no moisture in the area wind speeds and the direction has shifted out of the southwest. still holding steady at 9 miles per hour with gusts near that 15 miles per hour range. but let's take a look at radar for starting to notice some pockets of some moisture with this monsoonal moisture making its way into our valleys in the east bay. those of you in and dry for now. but you are seeing some light showers just to your north with livermore. you have the cell approaching your area right now, but just to our south in monterey county, the southern portion there, teen city and san benito counties currently under a special weather statement because of cloud to ground lightning strikes that have been reported already with this monsoonal moisture just

we are also following the latest out of solano county. that's where firefighters are working to put out a fire that has now grown to 110 acres at last check. >> it is 65% contained. fire is burning north of vacaville near the small city of winters and near the yolo county line will show you some video from that fire. this video showing fire trucks at the scene there. heavy smoke in the area. fire crews calling this the wind to fire. cal fire says several structures are in danger in that area. know. >> injuries have been reported. the winds in the vacaville area are beginning to intensify, potentially complicating the fire fight. fires also burning just west of 5, 0, 5, if you're taking 80 to try to get up toward reading, that's you. take 5, 0, 5. it's near grant avenue, though. the fire is burning in solano county is right near the yolo county line. and officials are warning people they may be seeing smoke of the driving on 5, 0, 5, so once again, that fire burning 110 acres. 65 1% contained at last check. evacuation orders have been down

solano county is kind of the tender box area little bit for some of this. and you can notice the winds coming kind of northeasterly by the time we get to tomorrow afternoon. so something else to look for coupled with dry air. here's that marine layer completely dissipates becomes bone dry in the east bay in the north bay. by the afternoon. it's quick. however, it doesn't look quite that bad as we get into wednesday. so look ahead to the program early in the week. got a hot tuesday on tap light winds relatively speaking than they shift more off shore near 90 for the bay 100 plus inland wednesday, some subtropical moisture scattered clouds, which may actually reduce temperatures a little bit. but we're watching out for maybe an isolated thunder shower there. dry lightning will be a problem there in the mountains, particularly than late during the week remaining hot inland, although conditions improve around the bay. and pam, we're looking also to into the weekend for up the mountains. we might have some thunder showers working their to do. if you're headed up

numbers inland in the low to mid-90s from eastern contra costa county to solano county. 70s in san francisco, mid-80s in oakland, low 90s in san jose, but close to 100 degrees in fairfield, concord, morgan hill, upper 90s. next weekend the opposite of high humidity and rain chances, still hot inland, 90s towards the inland east bay and south bay, starting to see a little cooling returning. the sea breeze will kick in midway through next weekend. san francisco and the inner bay will top out in the 70s to 80s later this week, not too bad, but a lot warmer than the weather of late. friday looks to be the warmest day around the bay. for the valleys that means 90s as we wrap up the week heading into next weekend and a few spots, solano county may see heat advisories as we wrap up the week and then cooling changes heading towards next sunday. the weather roller coaster ride continues, record setting rain and high humidity today and the heat coming back later this week into next weekend. >> it is absolutely all over the place. >> it is not what you'd expect this time of year. usually we're watching

county, including vacaville and fairfield. but then by tonight, we're going to notice calmer conditions for most of the bay area and that change in wind direction out of the west-southwest going to help push marine layer into the bay area overnight until we start to notice gusty winds returning by around friday afternoon, early evening, hours at around 20 to 30 miles per hour. so tonight we are going to see calmer winds speeds continuing through tomorrow morning. relative humidity out there right now, the driest for those of you and bill. 18%. 20th percentile range for most of our north bay and east bay valleys. but take a look at just how much that moisture content increases by tonight, especially shortly before midnight. we're going to see that marine layer extending to our inland valleys because remember, last time we had been moisture. but thanks to this robust marine layer and that stronger sea breeze. it's going to push that cloud cover giving firefighters a much needed break in that fight for those fires currently burni

it was a dry northerly wind for solano and napa counties. as you can see today, most of those winds will be sifting through the golden gate on into our inland areas. the breezy us near the coastline today. this is going to have at least contribute to a cooling effect for coastal areas while inland areas warm right back on up to the hottest temperatures of the forecast right behind us, though, a cold front that drops in starting tomorrow and will further coolest gradually on into the upcoming weekend by friday. daytime highs that are warmest only in the 70's. we will have some showers across northern california on friday, but dropping into the bay area come late saturday into early sunday. nice to be seeing at least some potential of even the lightest of showers across the region because this time of year, that's no guarantee whatsoever. now, as far as highs go 60's to 70's for san francisco today. definitely a cool one at the coastline. well, elsewhere, the bay daytime highs back into the 70's 80's to even 90's mountain view at 87 san jose a
