we locked here in the bay area. the first large metropolitan area to lock so we're exhausted with it. the big shift in the last year has been from public health, telling us, but we have to do mandates 2 personal responsibility. here's what you should do. the public health public health doctors stress what you should be doing. but removing the mandates has for a lot of people that the message that well, i can just go back and live like i was before. and a lot of people are doing that. and that is one of the things that is fueling the surge that we're in right now. going to continue to cause more cases, more hospitalizations and more deaths. i think people need to be very careful and recognize that there's an awful lot of covid around the bay area. he's doing worse in this surge that done. in any other search compared to others. other cities, including southern california, so we have to be remain very vigilant. i, for example, where mass confined indoors, for example, at the grocery store, it would be really careful n

warriors fans all over the bay area celebrating deep into the night. we'll take you to the party in the east bay straight ahead. >>> i'm anne makovec. want to give you a quick update on the fire we've been covering this morning in pittsburgh. taking you live to the scene where we got some good news. the fire is now out. that is after a few homes were evacuated overnight. you can see large emergency response there. a lot of concern because of the fact that the grass around that area is just so very dry. firefighters brought all their resources out to get this under control before it was able to spread to the houses. this is jacqueline drive, daffodil drive and san remo way. very close to the keller landfill there, south of highway 4. some of the pictures we got on twitter, this is when the fire was really raging. there were -- there was the potential of fire evacuations for entire neighborhoods. that never had to happen luckily because firefighters were able to get in there very quickly. now, the fire department spokesperson steve hill said that this is

the bay area from friday to saturday. temperatures will drop down into the 50s overnight and not quite as cool last night. high temperatures tomorrow along the coast where you've been pretty much every day around 60 degrees. mid to upper 70s down the peninsula and around the south end of the bay low to mid 80s farther inland. upper 70s and low 80s and mid 80s concord and close to 90 fairfield but falling just short. mid to upper 60s in san francisco and low 70s for oakland and low to even mid 80s farther and farther inland to the north bay and into the 80s or at least two 80 degrees for inland parts of the lake county. you can see the drop in temperatures for san jose from thursday to friday and a more noticeable cooldown. cooler than average temperatures stick around saturday and sunday. we get that rain chance on sunday and again, the best chance of measurable rain but its a chance for everybody, we'll have another update on that coming up at 11:00. temperatures once that rain moves out warming back up inland parts of t
