we will trend into the mid-90s for inland valleys from santa clara valley to the tri-valley. tomorrow it will be muggy in the morning. we will reach into the low to mid-90s for tomorrow afternoon. and this is what i have been concerned about. i am watching this monsoonal moisture surging into the bakersfield area. a high concern, these lightning strikes with very little rain. what happens as this moisture starts to move into the central valley, we will see more clouds in higher humidity which will raise our heat index. the actual number of the temperature will not be higher, but it will feel just as hot as yesterday. with these lightning strikes we have the potential of thunderstorms. we have been talking about how dry the foliage is in just one lightning strike could start off a fire. we have the highest chance of seeing them in the south county. once again, we are waking up to high humidity. this is the remnants of the tropical system that gets pursed into the areas around the bay area. this water vapor imagery, high humidity and we are watching out for that as a comes in.
