this is the surface level smoke that is largely going to be avoiding the bay area. that is being blown more to the north over yosemite and eventually toward lake tahoe. onshore winds, the direction the wind arrows are blowing here, we have the surface level winds turn out with the surface level smoke and it will continue to derek the smoke away from the bay area. even though you'll see some in the sky overhead that is why we have the air quality advisory you won't experience it at ground level to any great extent. maybe dipping into the moderate category for air quality in the north bay and east bay but the surface level smoke, the most dense smoke is going to stay closer to the actual site of the oak fire. not the only problem we're tracking though. monsoonal moisture making its way up from the south and a little ripple in the atmosphere. it is going to try to spark a couple thunderstorms as we head through tonight. look at future alleys but this forecast model indicates the potential o morning. it is an outside chance with other forecast models that keep things co
