as you heard candace earlier today and kevin. and that's but yes. so i was fortunate and i went over and there's actually a private museum in tokyo that's all about the firebombing of that city, of course, and that fateful mission, as we know it, burned 16 square miles of tokyo in march 1945 and killed 100,000 civilians. and there's a private museum there, and they have all sorts of documents and artifacts, things like that. and they also bring in survivors of that to talk to schoolkids and things like that. and so i spent several weeks over there and i interviewed a whole bunch of survivors in order to be able to tell the story. because i was really curious, like, what is it like in the middle of one of the worst firestorms ever? you know, what does it sound like? i mean, just like kevin was saying, does it smell like you know, i mean, when when when people's eyelashes are burning off because of the heat, when concrete melts and asphalt turns to goo, you know, what was the experience for these survivors who had to get out of the way of a tidal wave
