in atlantic city, hamer was there with a group from mississippi challenging the right of the mississippi all white democratic party to be seated on the convention floor and vote for president johnson as the nominee of the democratic party that year. and she belonged to a more diverse group of people that wanted to represent mississippi. so, they have this challenge. martin luther king was there to support them, but he did not have a feel for the people. he inspire people and he spoke eloquently, but he read his speech before hamer got on stage and she was the one that wowed everyone personally. the press followed king around until they heard hamer speak and then they could not get enough of fannie lou hamer. she spoke to people across the country living in circumstances like her. and so, some of those, mostly men around king, felt threatened by her rising power. they did not want her to have the strong voice that she had. but there was no denying fannie lou hamer. the nation really responded to her. she also had this amazing singing voice. so, she used that so effectively as part of her

local mississippi time. this individual who doesn't own this plane, it's owned by a local doctor, you know, got the plane out, was able to get on the runway and then take off. we don't know how quickly he did so. he stole this plane and presumably worked at the airport and obviously didn't catch too many people's attention. soon after that, he was calling 911 letting them know exactly what he was up to. they were on the phone with him for some time, or communicating with him for some time and on and off we're told, right newspaper now, we don't know and cannot confirm all of that, but we know that he could be running out of fuel in this beechcraft vehicle that it's in. a beechcraft air 90 turbo-prop, depending on speed and whereabouts in condition up to five hours. he's up to that limit and we're told by a number of pilots depending on the conditions and if you're relatively low and you're flying like this, presumably go a lot longer. we'll keep an eye on it if we keep reporting. his goal is or was to crash

this was an article published by mississippi today. one of our local media outlets on august the 31st. and it says feds a flag jackson water problems a month before the system failure. our water system and the city of jackson has been under epa since 2013. there was a follow-up decree that was later entered into i believe 2021 if i'm not mistaken between the city of jackson and the epa. and then there was a report that epa published in july of this year. just a few ultimately weeks before the failure of the jackson water system. and these were some of the things cited in the epa report. poor administration, lack of staff. it's at operator turnover is high with some reporting working 75 hours a week without overtime pay. the report talks about finances are in shambles. the city was unable to provide a complete list of customers when inspectors visited. and explain some customers received no bills while others receive large bills. the city could not calculate its collection rates. that this issue is not something expected to be resolved
