nicole: to the u.s. now, where more details are emerging about the highly sensitive documents east at donald trump's florida home in early august. one even detailing a foreign government's nuclear capabilities and other military defenses. that is according to the washington post. the report does not identify the foreign government or whether it was friendly or hostile to the u.s.. the fbi recovered more than 11,000 government documents and photographs during its search of the former president's mar-a-lago estate in florida on august 8. i spoke to our correspondent in washington, d.c. earlier and asked her what the legal consequences could be if these reports prove to be true. >> the overarching legal issue is still obstruction of justice. after all, it was trump staffers who denied there were still documents at mar-a-lago. it was only through this search that those documents were found and would have probably all seen the photograph of the top-secret documents with the top-secret covers. now it seems acc

yeah, that's right nicole. i mean it's not necessarily easy to keep track of them all bear with me. i mean, 1st of all, we have president trump facing a criminal investigation in new york, a in manhattan. the district attorney has been investigating trump and his company's business practices for some time now. and then there is the f. b. i's raid on trump's residence in florida. mar lago, i mentioned over classified documents, and that's being battled out in court right now. then there is also the federal investigation into his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. and then also, the state of georgia is looking into potential election interference tied to the 2020 election. so if you add all of that up, you can imagine that there, that is a lot of pressure on president trumping everyone in his orbit. i should say that the trump family has denied any of these charges and investigations including this latest lawsuit and the trump organization. released a statement today saying, this is a political stunt from an attorney general who is a democrat and in a reelection cam

nicole is in nearby tampa with the latest there. nicole. >> good morning. as lauren mentioned, the threat of storm surge reduced, flooding remains a top concern for the tampa bay area as officials prepare to see the impact of hurricane ian over several hours. those evacuations extend across 12 counties across the sunshine state. if they haven't left, officials still want you to as soon as possible. hurricane ian now is just approaching florida's gulf coast and she mentioned, we've seen pretty devastating impacts of the storm, tornados in broward county, close to miami making damage there and the palmetto expressway is already flooded as rain continues to pour and this storm continues to make landfall. these are concerns we'll be see increase as next several hours continue and the run rises in florida. it's about that time officials have asked people if they haven't left already, they hope they would have done so yesterday before we began to see the effects of hurricane ian. now it is only a matter of time before things get worse. >> carley: nicole, thank yo
