he is exhibit number one for what they need to know for the secret service. and might be hard-pressed for them to learn it. >> i admit i was sitting in this chair 24 hours ago telling the viewers at the hearing on wednesday could potentially be the last hearing. we now have liz cheney disputing. holy war hearings can we expect this fall? what is the committee saving for the written report? >> yeah, this is really interesting. i think adam went on tv earlier and said that they were talking with the next hearing on wednesday. it's not exactly what's going on. i will say that being in this committee for a year, that timeline and scheduling does shift. it's very possible i think that they hold additional hearings. and certainly, the chairman has said if we get new information that's compelling enough they will hold a hearing. hutchinson being a prime example, that really made an impact. i think there is some scheduling issues here. it certainly sounds like it will be the last one, at least until the midterms. the house goes on recess the week after next week. and

just how cooperative the secret service actually was with the select committee. now one other point from her interview that i think is worth noting is that she still hasn't cleared up why they didn't immediately move to just reinterview engel and ornato of after the testimony. they were reviewing documents and want to be careful and thorough about it. thoroughness and caution are to be, but it doesn't take a huge document review to ask somebody under oath to bring them in and ask them do you have this conversation. did you see this violent attack happen in the back of the president's vehicle on january 6th. the fact that the select committee has waited so long to bring back in both of these people means that it maybe a little more challenging for them to get ornato. they could have interviewed him while he was a secret service employee, but they waited for a long time and now he's retired and no longer has bosses above him who could push him to get in there on a shorter timeline. so i still don't understand why they have taken so long to try to bring back in both

now, they are getting a whole lot of information for the secret service. remember those phones were all those messages were somehow deleted, vanished from january 5th and sixth. why is this so important? >> so, these are contemporaneous communications. and will be intriguing, they're voting says they were included in these documents as radio traffic. so, that secret service agents, in a moment of great stress, talking to other agents. also, text messages, other sorts of messaging. together, this will provide a realtime picture of what was going on on january six. and this is the committees mandate. it is to get to the bottom, to find out what the truth is. so, i hope that they go after this, not with a preordained approach. i think what they have done all along is they have followed the facts very carefully. and they have gone wherever they let. now, they know exactly what was going on in that day. they will find out of that conflicts or corroborates earlier witnesses. and a bigger more truthful picture of that they will emerge. >> as they comb through all

shy subjected they case that not every secret service agent that has testified has told the truth. do the message back up the story that cassidy hutchinson said that she was told there was a violent confrontation between president trump and the secret service detail in the presidential vehicle? >> i foul her enormously credible and courageous as a witness. i have yet to see anything that has dissueded me from that view. i remain very confident of her testimony, what she said, and, yes, i do have questions about the testimony of others and whether they showed the same candor. we are still going through the records, because they are voluminous. i will say they're not a substitute for having the text message that were apparently erased from those devices. we are still investigating how that came about and why that came about. i hope and believe the justice department on that issue is also looking at whether laws were broken in the discretion of that evidence. we do have a mountain of information that we need to go through, but i think it's fair to say it won't be a complete substitute
