jim cramer joins us. jim, let's talk retail earnings. lowe's better than expected. target, quite a bit worse. and i heard you talking about it yesterday, just your suspicion that target might fare worse than walmart did because of the focus on apparel and other issues. >> yeah. i mean, it is a little disconcerting because of the cadence, the october was a very weak month in our country. and it was difficult to tell from walmart exactly how weak it was. marvin ellison didn't seem to indicate there is much weakness at all but that's housing. i'm willing to bet what happened is that if the consumer has slowed, which is very different from the retail sales numbers we got, then a company that is a little bit more expensive than walmart, target, could get hurt. at the same time, the note, the amount of stealing at target is a little disconcerting too i think brian cornell can weather this but, but just got the good contract. but it is interesting to see it's been a bad november too i'm trying to reconcile the numbers we got from the government today about retail, maybe yo

i heard jim cramer talking about this the other day i do think enterprise tech spending is the eye of the storm for 2023 and as i mention all these offer companies -- what they all have in common maybe with the exception of salesforce we've never seen them go through a recession. we have no idea how sticky all these users, all these desks corporations are paying for, how many can survive a pronounced slow down. it's tough to say whether or not the macro environment is going to make it so crowd can't continue to crush it because crush is it is what this company does i don't know what the earnings look lying, but i want to remind people what they did last time they beat top and bottom earnings, what they're expecting tonight $569 to $570 million, that's the range that would be 50% year over year at the top end if they could achieve that no matter what the environment is, any company that can deliver that is an incredible company. earnings per share 30 to 32 cents. that would be 80% growth year over year, again, if they hit the top end of that range. the expectations are high. i would sa
