we bring back in bloomberg's mike mckee. ira jersey joins us as well to give us some perspective on what the markets are seeing. mike, let me start with you. my read of the data today is inflation is coming down, great. but not so slowly -- not so great. mike: inflation will not come down fast in any one month, but it is making significant progress. one issue with the core pce is the previous month was revised higher, so it looks like a small drop. they had not factored in that one change so that is a major reason for the less significant drop in the core pce but the headline, which is what the fed is tied to, comes down significantly. people have started to pull back and that is also a suggestion that the economy is slowing down and the fed's medicine is working. alix: how fast does inflation slow in 2023, and if it is man driven is that a good thing or a bad thing? ira: let's look at what the markets have priced in. when you look at one year price swaps, -- that would be a significant downshift from what we are seeing on a
