Verses 76 and 77 of Psalm 119 are one paragraph in the ancient texts and speak of the mercies and compassions of YHVH which are need for each of us. Previously in verse 75 we had seen that the faithfulness of God is a focus of that verse. Considered together, the elements of God's faithfulness, mercies, and compassions in verses 75 to 77 are also a focus of two verses in what some consider as the darkest book of the Old Testament. Additional truths are brought in regard to Yeshua the Messiah in the New Testament.
