November 17, 2011: Senior NYPD Officer Byrne has just ordered protesters onto the sidewalk when he then orders it cleared pending immediate arrest -- for disorderly conduct, for defying a direct police order, and then further threatens another charge of resisting arrest. The police have forced protesters backwards and there is nowhere to go. Officer Byrne then reaches into the crowd to grab a young girl for no apparent reason, saying "You want to go with us? You want to help?" then wrestles the unresisting young woman, 22, down with fellow officers using excessive and unnecessary force.cc
