If you have the MW XML dump, you can upload it [1]. If not, see further on for how to create it. During the upload process, there is an option to choose which license it is under (I think all the major CC licenses are easily available). There are already a number of XML dumps for various MediaWiki wikis [2], which are usually created using WikiTeam tools (i.e., Special:Export for every page) [3], but since you are a sysadmin, dumpBackup.php is the way to go. (You probably want --full and to --include-files --uploads too.) The download logs can either be in the same item or a different one. If you need more details please reply. πr² [1] Upload [2] Most of these can be found in the "WikiTeam" collection. [3] GitHub source

Yes, I know how to dump the wiki, I was wondering where to put it and how to categorise it :-)

So, I should create a RationalWiki collection under WikiTeam? How do I do that? (I can hit "upload" on a file, but there's no transparency on what happens next.)

Hi David! Thanks for taking care of dumps. Usually, we recommend to use our script "uploader.py" which sets some basic metadata. https://github.com/WikiTeam/wikiteam/wiki/Tutorial#Automatic_publishing If the identifier is "taken", please tweak it by appending a timestamp. Then I regularly get items moved in the wikiteam collection by admins. We generally upload updates in the same item; then you don't have to worry about anything. If you intend to upload frequent updates (say, monthly), and they are very big (multiple GB compressed), then it may make more sense to upload one item per update. Once you have created several items, you can ask a collection, but we don't control that process.
