How does Beta blow? Let me count the ways -- well, one, anyway, as I'm already 0 for at least a few dozen blown off complaints/suggestions: whereas the old system remembers what post to which one is replying prior to login, not so for Beta. Big surprise, huh? The Beta is what happens when those not old enough to distinguish fad from enduring tradition, let alone novelty from quality, dictate direction without wiser counsel. We'd market Beta Blows t-shirts, but alas, that would be fad, and we wish to lead by example. This post was inspired by: new archive.org site.

well yah I posted a polite sample Beta feedback of the exact same polite feedback I answered with, and I haven't heard squat in return.

Originally, I really hated Beta. Now that I've figured out how to do all the stuff that I need/want/used to do, I'm OK with it. My only remaining beef/request...

I really miss the direct link to each show's deadlists page appearing on each archived show page.

Remarkably none of my request for the actual data about the betta site have been replied to by a staff that used to be extremely helpful. Is it fear?
I did get some charted answers on another posting that suggest the "NO" on exit to beta outweighs the "YES". And the new users supposedly coming in due to betta do not show on the charts I saw.

While I do not use that type of language when posting, I feel your comments are accurate.

PS: Its a beautiful day where I live and perhaps we should all log off and go listen to the trees.

Where I live is almost -- not quite, but almost -- quiet enough to pretend the noise of the elevated freeway is the soughing trees. A few hours after afternoon drive, however, and I'm right there in the pines, on into the night and wee hours. Sometimes, on a blustery day, the deciduous in the yard make themselves heard over the din.
