When I want to read a book on Internet Archive, I like to use the read aloud option. My issue stems with the voice featured in the read aloud option is one that has frequently become unreliable because at times it has trouble identifying the printed text and get confused (e.g., it would mistake a quotation mark with the number 44). This can vary depending on copy of book. This is usually solved by changing the voices available under Dictation & Speech in my System Preferences, but for some reason am unable to do so on either my phone or laptop. Does anyone know how to solve this?

we only offer one voice. any other voices would be through your device settings.

also, it seems that operating systems on some devices were updated recently causing the standard voice to be changed. i assume there is some setting or preference that will solve the issue but do not know exactly what or where it is.
